Between March 21 and 28, 2026, I will be part of the "Hope in Action for Zambia" team with Habitat for Humanity Romania.

We will travel to the Kabwe region, where, together with other Romanian volunteers, we will build a home for a family living in extremely difficult conditions.

What will I do, exactly?

For a week, I will work on the site with the partner family and the locals, to build a stable and safe home.

Why am I getting involved?

Makululu is the largest informal settlement in Zambia, with over 65,000 people living in fragile houses, without running water or toilets, and the rainy season leaves thousands of families homeless. Through this project, we hope to bring safety and stability to a family and support the entire community.

I believe that every person, wherever they are, has the right to a decent home, and I want to be part of those who defend this right.

How you can help?

To get there I need your support!

The total cost of the volunteer program is 2,750 USD (12,000 RON), which covers my participation and a donation to Habitat for Humanity for the project. The money goes straight to Habitat for Humanity, not to myself and covers local expenses, like construction materials. Each volunteer will cover their own travel costs (flights are not covered from donations).

Every contribution counts! Any amount, no matter how small, helps me get to Zambia and change a family's life for the better.

Thank you!
